Cancer Support Community North Texas, a leading area non-profit providing free cancer support, has a great career opportunity for a Contract Group Facilitator for Dallas, Collin and Tarrant County locations.  This person will provide psychosocial emotional support to members directly in group settings at CSCNT.  The group facilitator will maintain accurate and current records for all participants according to the program’s policies and procedures manual and regulatory standards of practice.

This position requires:

– A Master’s level licensed mental health professional (LMSW, LCSW, LPC) with minimum 2 years postgraduate experience
– Warm, outgoing, energetic personality
– Experience with facilitating groups and individual counseling
– Current Texas licensure as a LMSW, LCSW or LPC
– Maintain professional liability insurance
– Ability to work independently and prioritize responsibilities
– Bilingual preferred

DIRECTOR OF DEVELOPMENT

Cancer Support Community North Texas (CSCNT) is accepting applications for a full-time Director of Development. This role is responsible for leading CSCNT to meet or exceed its high-growth objectives and annual fundraising revenue in partnership with the Chief Executive Officer. As the lead fundraiser and strategist, the Development Director designs and implements initiatives to grow and diversify its funding base while building a sustainable infrastructure for ongoing support.

 

Position Summary

Reporting to the CEO, the Director of Development manages all aspects of the organization’s fundraising plan including Annual Campaigns, Corporate/Foundation Giving, Special Events, Research & Prospect Management, and Donor Recognition & Stewardship in addition to building a Major and Planned Giving program to ensure organizational stability and growth. He/she is responsible for developing and implementing the annual Development plan and budget and meeting the overall fundraising goal.

The Director of Development also leads marketing/communications strategies to differentiate and position CSCNT as a cause worthy of support in the crowded DFW philanthropic marketplace through stakeholder engagement, fundraising campaigns, and donor retention and stewardship initiatives.

The Director of Development directly supervises the Development Associate and Mar/Comms Manager positions. Because CSCNT services the entire DFW Metroplex, travel is required.

 

Responsibilities

1.) Plan and oversee all development/fundraising activities to achieve or exceed annual revenue goals.

2.) Provide leadership for development and marketing staff and establish clear roles and responsibilities with measurable performance objectives.

3.) Establish and assign donor portfolios, ensuring staff accountability for moves management processes and progress in securing financial support from individuals, corporations, and foundations. This includes maintaining a personal portfolio of major donors and prospects as well as coaching and partnering with CEO on his/her portfolio assignments.

4.) Oversee and strengthen development systems and processes including recordkeeping and reporting, gift entry and acknowledgment, and donor data management.

5.) Establish and articulate annual fundraising priorities for the organization.

6.) Guide priorities and accountabilities for the contract grants writer and researcher to drive grants revenue and relationships,

7.) Serve as the Development liaison for the Board of Directors, providing direction and support for Board giving and fundraising efforts.

8.) Plan, develop, implement, and evaluate a variety of resource development strategies and best practices to determine their effectiveness in achieving the organization’s short-range and long-range goals.

9.) Create and execute a strategy for growing a sustainable base of annual individual donors.

 

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university and 7-10 years of proven fundraising experience, preferably in a Development Director or similar role.

Demonstrated success in closing gifts with individual donors across giving levels. Knowledge of planned giving and experience with online fundraising preferred.

Knowledge of the principles and practices of fund-raising management with demonstrated experience in implementing and managing a successful, comprehensive fundraising program to achieve or exceed goals.

Demonstrated experience with fundraising software and tools to track progress throughout the year.

 

 

Skills

· Superb written and verbal communication skills for collaborating with donors and other stakeholders across the organization and strong interpersonal skills for building and growing relationships among donors and cultivating relationships with members of the public as potential donors.

· Strong organizational and time management skills to plan and implement fundraising events, track and report donations, and maintain accurate donor records

· Marketing skills to create fundraising campaigns and events that inspire others to attend/engage and give generously.

· Computer literacy for managing donor lists, fundraising schedules, and grant applications as well as word processing software to create donor letters, fundraising reports and materials, and other relevant documents.

· Personal integrity, accountability, and self-initiative to manage all assigned responsibilities

· Trustworthiness and discretion when handling sensitive information – committed to ensure donors’ rights and privacy
