Program Coordinator

Dallas County 

Cancer Support Community North Texas, a leading area non-profit providing free cancer support, has a great career opportunity for a Program Coordinator to coordinate program including children’s program, and provide general support for daily program operations. Responsibilities include: onboarding new participants, facilitating groups, individual counseling, doing community outreach, delivering children’s program for the location, event planning, volunteer coordination. This position requires:

  • A Master’s level licensed mental health professional (LMSW, LCSW,) with minimum 2 years postgraduate experience
  • Warm, outgoing, energetic personality
  • Experience with group facilitation and individual counseling
  • Good organizational skills and ability to prioritize efforts
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Outlook, Microsoft Office Suite

Database Specialist/Volunteer Coordinator

Cancer Support Community North Texas provides a warm and inviting homelike setting where men, women, and children living with cancer – as well as their families and friends – can join with others to build emotional and social support as an essential complement to medical care.  It’s time for us  to another valued team member to the CSCNT team; someone who is dedicated and takes ownership of providing accurate information on our constituents – participants, donors and volunteers, for all our locations, and does this efficiently, reliably, and properly.

If you were working for us, here are some of the things you would have done last week

  • Worked directly with the Program Director and Senior Director of Development on projects
  • Supported the Program Director and Business Manager with data managements of constituents, donor/gift, volunteers, outreach contacts reports
  • Generated and managed program, development & volunteer data reporting and analysis as requested
  • Engaged in a short activity to ensure the health and accuracy of the data for participants, donors, volunteers and prospects
  • Provided specific data to leadership for their PowerPoint presentation for the Board meeting
  • Attended departmental and organizational meetings and provided position-related reports

Here are some other things you might do

  • Support the team by recruiting/training/managing volunteers for program & development efforts
  • Provide general clubhouse support as needed
  • Report on data and volunteer accomplishments at an All Staff meeting
  • Join staff members at a birthday lunch celebration

Experience is important

We’re looking for someone who understands the importance of a quality database.  In this role you will:

  • Serve as the champion for encouraging the use of the database for all departments
  • Serve as a primary liaison for all data-related matters, including constituent records, and gift compliance
  • Train employees on the productive use of the database
  • Provide essential support to the Program and Development teams, supporting CSC NT’s constituents, as well as fundraising activities
  • Report on and analyze data using tools such as Gnosis, eTapestry, Blackbaud, Salesforce, or other CRM software – this is a major responsibility of this position
  • Ensure accuracy of and manage all elements of the database records for constituents; participants, donors, prospects, volunteers etc.
  • Recruit, train, manage volunteers to support activities at multiple locations or for program and fundraising events
