CONTRACT GROUP FACILITATOR – ALL LOCATIONS

Cancer Support Community North Texas, a leading area non-profit providing free cancer support, has a great career opportunity for a Contract Group Facilitator for Dallas, Collin and Tarrant County locations.  This person will provide psychosocial emotional support to members directly in group settings at CSCNT.  The group facilitator will maintain accurate and current records for all participants according to the program’s policies and procedures manual and regulatory standards of practice.

This position requires:
– A Master’s level licensed mental health professional (LMSW, LCSW, LPC) with minimum 2 years postgraduate experience
– Warm, outgoing, energetic personality
– Experience with facilitating groups and individual counseling
– Current Texas licensure as a LMSW, LCSW or LPC
– Maintain professional liability insurance
– Ability to work independently and prioritize responsibilities
Bilingual preferred

PROGRAM COORDINATOR – DALLAS COUNTY LOCATION

Cancer Support Community North Texas, a leading area non-profit providing free cancer support, has a great career opportunity for a Program Coordinator in Dallas County. This person will coordinate program (including children’s program), and provide general support for daily program and operations. Responsibilities include: onboarding new participants, facilitating groups, individual supportive counseling, doing community outreach, delivering children’s program for the location, event planning, volunteer coordination. Reports to the Program Manager. Competitive salary and benefits package.

This position requires:
– A Master’s level licensed mental health professional (LMSW, LCSW) with minimum 2 years postgraduate experience
– Warm, outgoing, energetic personality
– Experience with facilitation groups and individual counseling
– Good organizational skills and ability to prioritize efforts
– Demonstrated proficiency in Outlook, Microsoft Office Suite

DIRECTOR OF DEVELOPMENT

Cancer Support Community North Texas provides a warm and inviting homelike setting where men, women, and children living with cancer – as well as their families and friends – can join others and get emotional and social support as a complement to medical care – all free of charge.  The Director of Development helps to ensure that no one should have to go through cancer alone. We’re looking for a highly motivated, creative and energetic team player to run our Development department.

If you were working for us, here are some things you might have done last week:

  • Brain-stormed with the CEO on implementing the coming year’s Development Plan
  • Motivated Board Members at the Board meeting to get involved in the ONE Run
  • Interviewed applicants for a new full time Development Associate position
  • Had bi-weekly meeting with the management team
  • Reviewed monthly financial information to track revenue budget and goals
  • Run a Development Team meeting, coordinated a Development Committee meeting, a Young Leadership Board meeting, and provided position-related reports
  • Had coffee and cake to say goodbye to an intern

Here are some other things you’ll be doing

  • Plan and manage the annual Development budget
  • Plan and oversee fundraising events
  • Motivate and motivate your Development Team
  • Meet with potential donors, corporate sponsors and foundations
  • Report on Development activities to the Board at Board meetings
  • Report to grantors on progress on grants

Experience is important. We need someone who has a minimum of five years’ experience in fundraising and development.
