DIRECTOR OF DEVELOPMENT

Cancer Support Community North Texas provides a warm and inviting homelike setting where men, women, and children living with cancer – as well as their families and friends – can join others and get emotional and social support as a complement to medical care – all free of charge.  The Director of Development helps to ensure that no one should have to go through cancer alone. We’re looking for a highly motivated, creative and energetic team player to run our Development department. Here’s who we’re looking for You are energetic, outgoing, organized and creative.   • Brainstormed with the CEO on implementing the coming year’s Development Plan
  • Motivated Board Members at the Board meeting to get involved in the ONE Run
  • Interviewed applicants for a new full time Development Assistant position
  • Had a bi-weekly meeting with the management team
  • Reviewed monthly financial information to track to revenue budget and goals
  • Run a development team meeting, coordinated a Development Committee meeting, a Young Leadership Board meeting, and provided position-related reports
  • Had coffee and cake to say goodbye to an intern
Here are some other things you’ll be doing
  • Plan and manage the annual Development budget
  • Plan and oversee fundraising events
  • Motivate and motivate your Development Team
  • Meet with potential donors, corporate sponsors and foundations
  • Report on Development activities to the Board at Board meetings
  • Report to grantors on progress on grants
Experience is important. We need someone who has a minimum of five years’ experience in fundraising and development. PROGRAM COORDINATOR

Cancer Support Community North Texas in Plano, TX is accepting applications for a full time Program Coordinator. This person will coordinate program (including children’s program) and provide general support for daily program and operations. RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Onboarding new participants
  • Facilitating groups, individual counseling
  • Representing CSCNT at community outreach events
  • Delivering children’s program for the location
  • Event planning
  • Volunteer coordination
Reports to the Program Manager. Competitive salary and benefits package. ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS
  • A Master’s level licensed mental health professional (LMSW, LCSW,) with minimum 2 years postgraduate experience

  • Experience with facilitating groups and individual counseling

  • Demonstrated proficiency in Outlook, Microsoft Office Suite

DEVELOPMENT ASSOCIATE

Cancer Support Community North Texas https://cancersupporttexas.org/ in Dallas, TX is accepting applications for a full time Development Associate.  The Development Associate is responsible for assisting in and supporting fundraising operations. ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES DEVELOPMENT DEPARTMENT SUPPORT RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Assist the Development Director with preparing for donor visits and meetings by creating collateral material packets.
  • Enter database entries on behalf of the development team.
  • Manage development department calendar.
  • Assist the development team in event and fundraising mailings, such as, creating and managing mailing lists, preparing and executing mail merges, etc.
  • Prepare weekly and six-month donor appreciation letters and thank you notes for Development Director and CEO.
  • Assistance with other development events, meetings, plans, as required.
DATABASE
  • Work closely with Database Coordinator and development team to proactively manage donor records to ensure accurate tracking of all donor activities.
  • Assist the development team in creating and managing database reports that support fundraising and stewardship initiatives.
  • Conduct research on prospects or donors and document this research in the database and in Microsoft office applications like Word and Excel.
  • Create accurate and comprehensive donor profiles.
  • Produce Monthly Revenue Report for Development Director and CEO.
  • Work closely with development team to ensure major donor lists and communications are current.
SPECIAL EVENTS RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Assist the development team in preparing for and managing special events, such as, drafting event timelines and assisting with vendor relations.
  • Manage event communications process, such as, confirmations, changes in event details, etc.
  • Create and manage donor attendee profiles before an event.
  • Organize event collateral, such as, event signage, programs, name tags, seating cards, place cards, etc.
  • Assist with managing all travel and hospitality arrangements for talent.
  • Assist with day-of event execution from beginning to end.
  • Assist with following up on vendor invoices and payments and post-event reports.
  • Manage master event calendar.
GENERAL ADMINISTRATION RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Maintain development inventory, such as, mailing collateral, event supplies, office supplies.
  • Must be able to work evening and weekends, as required.
  • Assist with cross-departmental event support, as needed.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities, as assigned.
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS
  • An undergraduate degree in related field.
  • Exceptional customer service and written/expressive communication skills.
  • Confident with written, phone and face-to-face interactions with high-profile individuals.
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented in order to manage multiple projects with shifting priorities and deadlines.
  • Ability to timely execute accurate data reports that support fundraising and stewardship initiatives.
  • Flexible and adaptable in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
  • Proven ability to work well as part of a team and independently, with little supervision.
  • Able to diplomatically discern work priorities, problem solve, make decisions and meet critical deadlines.
  • Professional interpersonal and social skills suitable to working with wide range of stakeholders.
  • Valid Texas Driver’s License and insurance required for assignments/activities that involve work outside of the office.
  • Must maintain a clean driving record.

CONTRACT FACILITATOR

Cancer Support Community North Texas https://cancersupporttexas.org/ in Dallas, Ft. Worth & Plano, TX is accepting applications for Contract Group Facilitators to provide psychosocial emotional support to members directly in group settings at CSCNT.  Group Facilitators’ will to maintain accurate and current records on all participants according to the program’s policies and procedures manual and regulatory standards of practice. RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Facilitates weekly support groups as needed and assess group appropriateness.
  • Represents Cancer Support Community North Texas as requested by Program Staff.
  • Performs all appropriate member documentation within required time guidelines.
  • Participates in staff meetings, program meetings, supervision, and other committees as required.
  • Maintains appropriate continuing education each year.
  • Maintains professional liability insurance.
  • Maintains on-going education to improve job performance.
  • Demonstrates sensitivities to culturally diverse member population.
  • Welcomes members to clubhouse and answers general program questions.
  • Completes open and closing procedures as needed at Cancer Support Community North Texas.
  • Demonstrates flexibility regarding assignments.
  • Perform special assignments as needed/requested.
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS
  • Current Texas licensure as licensed mental health professional (LMSW, LCSW, LPC, LMFT, Clinical Psychologist) with minimum 3 years postgraduate experience
  • Good interpersonal, and verbal & written communication skills.
  • Able to work independently and prioritize responsibilities.
  • Knowledgeable of local and medical community, cancer support services, and organizations for outreach efforts.
  • Autonomous and reliable
  • Good organizational skills
  • Facilitating groups within a clinical healthcare setting preferred.
  • Must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide appropriate psycho-social/emotional  interventions, rapport building, and empathy skills to individuals whose lives have been impacted by cancer.
  • Knowledge and skill regarding basic computer processes (Outlook, Word, Excel, and Access)
