• Fundraisers benefiting Cancer Support Community North Texas must align with our mission and values. CSCNT reserves the right to decline any fundraising proposal that does not reflect our mission.
• Third-party fundraisers are responsible for all aspects of their event, including vendor agreements, contracts, insurance, and necessary permits. CSCNT will not assume any legal or financial liability for third-party events. Additionally, CSCNT, its Board Members, or staff reserve the right to withdraw support or involvement in any event at any time without liability for such cancellation.
• Third-party events must be fully executed by the organizing party. While CSCNT staff are available to provide guidance and resources during the planning process, we cannot guarantee promotion or take on planning responsibilities for third-party fundraisers due to limited resources. CSCNT staff are not responsible for managing the event.
• To accommodate requests for CSCNT representatives to be present at the event, please provide at least 30 days notice. If a request is made with less than 30 days notice, we cannot guarantee a CSCNT representative will be there, but we will try our best. Weekend availability is limited due to scheduling.
• Third-party fundraising events benefitting Cancer Support Community North Texas must be financially self-sustaining, with all expenses covered by the third-party fundraiser and no financial risk to CSCNT. All event costs are the responsibility of the third-party fundraiser, and refunds or reimbursements cannot be issued after a donation has been made to CSCNT. Donations from the event should be issued to CSCNT within 30 days after the event.
• It is essential that third-party fundraisers clearly and accurately state the portion of event proceeds that will be donated to CSCNT in all advertising, promotions, and communications with donors, sponsors, and participants.
• The third-party fundraiser is also responsible for managing all vendor agreements, contracts, insurance, and any necessary permits for the event. CSCNT will not assume any liability for third-party fundraising events.
• Cancer Support Community North Texas does not act as a sponsor for third-party fundraising events and should always be listed as a “beneficiary” on all promotional materials.
• Third-party fundraisers may use the CSCNT logo. Contact our Communications & Marketing Manager Angela at [email protected] to receive appropriate logos.
• All marketing efforts, including writing and distributing press releases, public service announcements, social media posts, invitations, advertisements, and other promotional materials, are the sole responsibility of the third-party fundraiser. CSCNT will help promote an event on social media as our editorial calendar allows if provided with social assets. We can design some assets if given enough lead time, but this cannot be guaranteed.
• Unless your organization is a registered nonprofit entity, donations made to it are not tax-deductible.
• Donations made directly to a third-party event can be used to cover the event’s expenses, but they are not tax-deductible.
• A donation solicited on behalf of Cancer Support Community North Texas is fully tax-deductible only when it is made directly and entirely to CSCNT. As the sole agents who can verify the receipt and nature of a gift to the IRS, we ensure compliance with tax regulations. Donors who wish to receive a tax acknowledgment letter should provide their donation via check or through our secure online giving platform.
