I started volunteering at CSC through their relationship with the Junior League of Dallas in 2014 and have selected CSC as my placement every year since. When I was searching for a placement my first year with Junior League I knew I wanted to go somewhere that was making a difference in a community I held dear to my heart, those impacted by cancer. I lost my grandpa when I was in college after a 12 year battle with Leukemia and in the past 12 months have lost both my grandma and aunt to cancer. Being in the clubhouse at CSC and seeing the impact they have on the lives of all those affected by this terrible disease has helped me through my own struggles. I was actually volunteering at the Dallas clubhouse when I received the call that my grandma had passed and will forever be grateful that I was in a place where I truly felt supported and understood when I needed it the most. Today, in addition to volunteering through Junior League at CSC, I am also in my second year on the Young Leadership Board and first year on the Finance Committee of the Board of Directors. When I’m not at the Dallas clubhouse, I enjoy watching crime shows, reading, golf, and being outside with my dogs.
