Volunteers – what would we do without you?!
April is Volunteer Appreciation month, so this is the perfect time to say a huge “Thank You” to our many volunteers who do so much for us. Our Board of Directors and our Board Committees are committed to the Cancer Support Community mission and vision for our community – they support, guide and direct us towards achieving our goals.
Our many workshops, from Art to Zumba, are facilitated weekly by community volunteers who give generously and lovingly of their time and talent. Our members benefit from an incredible array of activities focused on good health, creativity and fun. Junior League of Dallas volunteers boost clubhouse staff capacity by being in the clubhouse in the evenings; answering phones, doing call outs, helping at our events and health fairs, and making sure we have delicious and healthy snacks in the clubhouses at all times. National Charity League moms and daughters make a difference to our children’s program and other social events in the clubhouses. Girl and Boy Scouts complete service projects for our children’s program. Individual volunteers offer their support in many ways that free staff up to do their jobs.
Each volunteer brings their special something – helping to create the warm and welcoming environment everyone notices when they open our red door. They make a marked impact on everyone at CSC NT, members and staff alike.
So the answer to the question, “What would we do without you?” is …….. not near half as much as we are able to do with you! Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for helping us to extend what we do in the communities we serve. You make a huge difference for us all!
With sincere gratitude and appreciation during Volunteer Appreciation month, and every day of the year!

Dear CSCNT Volunteers,
There has been no task too small or too big. The time, talent and effort you have put in at Cancer Support Community North Texas has been invaluable. From our big events such as One Run and Rock the Red Door to the daily running of the clubhouse and everything in between – we were able to make it happen and help make our vision “So that No One Faces Cancer Alone” a reality. Thank you so much for volunteering. We can not do it without each and every one of you!
Christy, Your CSCNT Volunteer Coordinator
